This Integration requires Fides Cloud or Fides Enterprise. For more information, talk to our solutions team.

Microsoft Advertisement is an Ads platform from the Microsoft Suite, that allows clients to set up advertising campaigns on the Microsoft Network.

Prerequisites

In order to integrate with Microsoft Advertisement, you'll need to collect the following information:

Name Description
Domain* The Authentication domain for access tokens, usually it's login.microsoftonline.com

Client Secret The Client Secret of your Registered Azure Application. Only required if you set up a secret during the Azure App creation. Follow Microsoft docs to retrieve the Client Secret.

Redirect URL* The Fides URL to which users will be redirected upon successful authentication (ex. {{your-fides-domain}}/oauth/callback).

You will also need to add the Fides redirect URL to the list of accepted redirected URIs of the application.

  1. Log in to your Azure Account.
  2. Access the Microsoft Entra ID portal.
  3. On the left menu, access the App Registrations.
  4. Search for your registered application.
  5. Click the link for Registered URIs on the Essentials Menu.
  6. You should see all your registered URIs on the Web panel, click the link Add URI.
  7. Add the full path to your application.

You can check Microsoft Docs here for more details on setting up your client ID and redirect URI.

Technical Detail

Fides utilizes API endpoints to access the API service for a SaaS application. An API service is the programmatic interface through which Fides can query and update data within an application to access, rectify, or delete personal information. Each SaaS tool will have a unique set of endpoints to enable privacy functions.

Microsoft Advertisement Endpoints

In the table below, you can find which endpoints are used for each type of privacy function. Clicking on the endpoint will take you to the documentation for that endpoint.
